The Foreign Secretary, the Rt Hon Philip Hammond, will address supporters of the Conservative Friends of Cyprus on Friday 10 March in North London.
The event hosted by CFCyprus will include an address from the Foreign Secretary outlining the British Government’s position on Cyprus and highlighting the steps taken since David Cameron became Prime Minister to strengthen bilateral ties with the Republic of Cyprus.
Many Parliamentary friends of Cyprus, including the Rt Hon Theresa Villiers, David Burrowes, Nick de Bois, Mike Freer and Matthew Offord will also speak at the event.
Jason Charalambous, Chairman of CFCyprus, said “this will be a unique opportunity to hear from the Foreign Secretary and MPs about Britain’s strengthening relationship with Cyprus, and the important steps taken by the Conservative-led government since 2010 to develop that bond”.
David Burrowes, the Parliamentary Chairman of CFCyprus, said “I welcome the opportunity to hear from the Foreign Secretary outlining the Conservative Party’s support for Cyprus ahead of the General Election”.
