Today is polling day – the opportunity to make your voice heard and decide who will represent you in Parliament and which party will govern this Country.
Cyprus and the Cypriot Community in Britain is fortunate to have had the support of numerous Parliamentarians over the past five years. Sir Roger Gale, Theresa Villiers, David Burrowes, Mike Freer, Nick de Bois and Matthew Offord to name a few.
The Conservative Party has a proven track record in supporting Cyprus – and Cyprus needs friends in Britain today more than ever before. The manifesto pledge states that the Conservative Party will “actively support Cypriots to find a peaceful and lasting settlement to reunite their island”. The re-election of our Parliamentary friends is critical in ensuring this vision is achieved.
Over the past 5 years the Conservatives have achieved a great deal – a record 31 million people in work with more jobs having been created since the last election than in the whole of Europe combined. Our economy is now bigger than France’s and wages are finally rising. If David Cameron is returned as Prime Minister, Britain will continue to go from strength to strength.
Today please go out and vote for strong leadership; a clear economic plan; a brighter, more secure future.
