Conference Lunch with Parliamentary Friends of Cyprus

The Conservative Friends of Cyprus hosted a successful working lunch at the 2024 Conservative Party Conference with current and former Parliamentary friends of Cyprus.

During the lunch, in the presence of the High Commissioner of the Republic of Cyprus Dr Kyriakos Kouros and the Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic Mr Yannis Tsaousis, the support of the Conservative Party for ever closer bilateral ties with Cyprus, and for the reunification of Cyprus on the basis of the internationally agreed framework was reaffirmed.

The two diplomats were joined by the Chairman of the 1922 Committee, Bob Blackman MP, Martin Vickers MP, former MPs Theresa Villiers, John Stevenson, Sheryll Murray, David Burrowes and Dr Ian Twinn OBE, together with the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Friends of Cyprus, Jason Charalambous and Prof Petro Nicolaides respectively.

Dr Kouros, Mr Tsaousis and Mr Charlambous also had the opportunity to meet with the Chairman of the Conservative Party Richard Fuller MP and the Shadow Secretary of State for Business and Trade Kevin Hollinrake.
